VAMAS Opens Up EOIs for Research Projects Tackling COVID-19

VAMAS, or Versailles Project on Advanced Materials and Standards (VAMAS), is an international scientific body supporting world trade in products dependent on advanced materials technologies. They are active in international collaborative projects aimed at providing the technical basis for harmonized measurements, testing, specifications, and standards.

In the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, VAMAS has just published three Expression of Interest (EOI) opportunities, calling for scientific collaboration in the following areas:

1.       Covid-19 Response – 1 Cross-validation of an integrated, phage-derived platform as an open source reference standard for the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2

2.       Covid-19 Response – 2 Physicochemical profiling of virus-like particles as reference materials for vaccine development and virus particle diagnosis

3.       International call for inter-laboratory comparisons (ILC) in response to the COVID 19 pandemic

Since these opportunities are greatly linked to nanotech/metrology needs required for the COVID response, it may be of great interest to our wider community of NanoFabNet stakeholders to reach out.
