Kick-off of the NanoFabNet project

On March 11-12, 2020, partners from nine different EU countries and the USA gathered both in-person in Brussels and online for the kick-off of the NanoFabNet project.

The two-day event was the first chance for the partners to gather and meet each other, as well as discuss in detail the project objectives and activities going forward. Day 1 of the event included formal introductions and discussion of roles and featured special international guests who make up the Executive Advisory Board. Day 2 was the 1st Development Workshop, which was a chance for partners and visiting experts from various nanotechnology and sustainability sectors to provide input about how to shape the upcoming NanoFabNet Hub. The discussion prominently highlighted the importance of building a sustainable network, which will continue on after the close of the project. This in-depth meeting laid an important foundation for the work to take place over the next two years.
