2021 Spring Meeting of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS)

The Spring 2021 meeting of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) will occur as a VIRTUAL conference from 31 May to 3 June 2021.

In line with previous conferences, the Spring 2021 meeting is expected to be the largest in Europe in materials science and technology. Indeed, the E-MRS Spring Meeting is a major conference every year with over 2500 participants worldwide.

The VIRTUAL 2021 Spring Meeting will consist of parallel symposia with invited speakers, oral and poster presentations, complemented by plenary sessions, and workshops and training courses. As a new item for posters, short oral presentations, allowing each participant to present key findings.

The high-level scientific programme will address various topics organised in 19 symposia arranged in 4 clusters covering Energy Materials, Nanomaterials and Advanced Characterisation, Biomaterials and Soft Materials, and Materials for Electronics, Magnetics and Photonics.

In parallel to the technical sessions, international exhibitors will have the opportunity to present their devices, systems, products, software, publications and services during the conference.

At the heart of the conference are the plenary sessions, each consisting of high-level talks by Prof. Ben Feringa from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands – Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (2016); Prof. André Geim from the University of Manchester, UK – Nobel Laureate in Physics (2010) and Prof. Ulrike Diebold from TU Wien (Austria).

The Spring meeting will also be contributed by our partner LNE:

• June 1rst 10:30 Dev of a new hybrid approach combining AFM and SEM measurements for nanoparticles dimensional metrology
• June 1rst 11:30 Determination of high permittivity from calibrated capacitance measurements using Scanning Microwave Microscopy.
